My mom made this bread for many of my childhood years. She has since passed it on to me, and it is always a favorite when I have enough ripe bananas.
Mash bananas, set aside.
Combine baking soda, milk, and vinegar in a small bowl or cup. Set aside.
In another small bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
In larger bowl, cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs; then mashed bananas and sour milk mixture. Slowly add the flour mixture. Pour batter into a greased and floured 8 x 8-inch pan. Bake at 325° for 50 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
