Easiest, best banana bread I’ve ever tasted.
Melt butter and blend in sugar. Mix in beaten eggs and mashed bananas, blending until smooth.
Sift flour with salt and soda (if you don’t have a sifter, just stir together). Add dry ingredients to mush alternately with the hot water. Stir in nuts and/or chips, if using.
Turn into a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
