Description

Swiss cheese and sweet onions combine to make a gooey and yummy dip. This disappears quickly every time I make it!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Vidalia Or Other Sweet Onion
  • 2 cups Swiss Cheese, Shredded Or Diced If Using Slices.
  • 2 cups Mayonnaise

Preparation

Chop onion into a small dice. Mix all ingredients together. Put in a pie plate or similar dish and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes till hot and golden brown around edges.

I have used the Reduced Fat Hellman’s Mayo with no noticeable differences.

The first time I saw this recipe I didn’t think it sounded very good, but it is my favorite (and the easiest) dip and it truly does disappear quickly. I sprinkle a little bit of parmesan cheese on top of mine, makes for a nice golden “crust”. Thanks for posting.

This is my favorite warm dip. Every where I have taken it, no one believes it only has three ingredients. I also add a very light sprinkle of cayenne pepper over the top; it gives the dip a little color and a lot of kick!

We had this at a friend’s over the weekend and it was f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s!! The taste reward for the effort is majorly disproportionate. Recipe was easily halved for a smaller group.
