Description

This is a sweet take on Chex Mix. Good luck keeping your hand out of the bowl!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Honey Nut Chex Cereal
  • 2 cups Rice Chex Cereal
  • 2 cups Corn Chex Cereal
  • 1 cup Pretzels (any Shape)
  • ½ cups Honey Roasted Peanuts
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 12 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 4 Tablespoons Corn Syrup
  • ½ teaspoons Maple Flavor Or Vanilla Extract
  • Salt
  • 3 bags (1 3/4 oz. Candy Bar Size) M&Ms

Preparation

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

Mix cereal, pretzels and nuts in a bowl. Split the mixture between 2 cookie sheets sprayed with cooking spray. Set aside.

In a small saucepan, mix together butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and maple flavor. Heat over medium heat until it starts to bubble.

Pour the mixture over the cereal mixture on both cookie sheets. Mix as best as you can and put cookie sheets in the oven.

Heat for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.

Remove from the oven when done, and spread out on waxed paper or tin foiled sprayed lightly with cooking spray.

While the mixture is still hot, sprinkle with salt (the amount you add is up to you!). Once mixture is cool, break up any large chunks. Add M&M candies and toss together.

Makes 16 1-cup servings.
