This comes from my fabulous friend Mary. She has her hands full with 5 kids (the last 3 are triplets and all boys!), a dentist for a husband, and a great farm with Herefords and chickens.
Pour puffed corn in a brown paper grocery sack.
In a glass microwave bowl:
Combine sugar, syrup and butter. Cook in the microwave on full power for 4 minutes, stirring 2 times.
Remove and add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and stir until well blended.
Pour over puffed corn. Stir with a wooden spoon until well coated. Fold sack over and put in the microwave for 90 seconds. Take out and shake well, turn sack over and put back in the microwave for another 90 seconds, stopping every 30 seconds to shake well. If you don’t shake it, it will burn. Spread on waxed or parchment paper to let cool. Enjoy!
