Description

Orange Soy Chicken Wings combine the tastes of sweet and salty! Nothing could be better on a chicken wing.

Ingredients

  • 6  Chicken Wings
  • 2 Tablespoons Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Agave Nectar (or Honey)
  • 1 Tablespoon Mirin (rice Wine Vinegar)
  • 2 teaspoons Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Grated Orange Zest
  • 1 teaspoon Grated Ginger
  • ¼ teaspoons Sriracha Or Hot Sauce
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • 1  Shallot, Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Red Miso Paste (optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds (optional)

Preparation

Place chicken wings in either a large Ziplock bag or bowl that is big enough that you can also add the marinade.

In medium bowl, mix soy sauce, agave nectar, mirin, sesame oil, orange juice, orange zest, ginger, Sriracha, garlic, shallot and miso. Whisk until smooth and combined.

Pour marinade over chicken and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Before cooking, preheat oven to 400 F.

Remove chicken from marinade and place in greased or parchment lined 13×9 baking dish.

Bake 10 minutes and check on them. Baste with more marinade if necessary.

Bake for an additional 35-40 minutes, checking frequently. Test one to ensure they are cooked through. When done remove from oven. Remove wings from baking dish and sprinkle with sesame seeds (optional). Serve.
