Description

This recipe taste almost exactly like the delicious nuts you get from The Nutty Bavarian.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cups Butter, Melted
  • 2 whole Egg Whites, At Room Temperature
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 4 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 3 cups Whole Nuts, Your Choice Of Type (almond, Pecan, Etc)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Melt butter; place in a jelly roll pan.

Beat egg whites with salt until frothy. Gradually add sugar, beating to stiff peaks. Fold in cinnamon and nuts.

Pour mixture onto jelly roll pan; toss with butter. Bake about 40 minutes, tossing every 10 minutes, until nuts are crisp.

Serve warm or at room temperature. Store cooled nuts in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.

Just a side note, The Nutty Bavarian doesn’t use eggs or butter.

I’ve never taken a minute to leave a comment or rating on these sites, but in this case, it deserved it. They are IDENTICAL to the ones you get at the fair. One word of advice, let the nuts cool down completely so that they firm up again. Incredibly delicious.

WOW…great recipe. I used Almonds and they taste just awesome! Having never tasted nuts from the Nutty Bavarian, I liked the picture, so I thought I would give it a try. Course, it was very meringue-y (duh) and buttery but the whole batch changed during the 10 minutes tossings. Yes I did have to set the timer four times and stir,(cleaned the kitchen and had a lovely hot cuppa tea in-between timings!) but that is what brought this recipe together! I can not wait to try this with walnuts and mmmmm pecans!
Thanks so much for sharing!
