A sweet starter for the neighborhood barbecue. This recipe got rave reviews!
In a medium sauce pan, boil water, sugar, tequila, and triple sec until sugar is dissolved. Reduce liquid by 1/4, then chill in the refrigerator. Cut watermelon into wedges and place in a shallow bowl. Pour chilled liquid over the watermelon and sprinkle with salt. Serve cold with lime wedges to be squeezed over the watermelon before eating.

I usually pour the liquid over the watermelon and refrigerate an hour or so before serving it’s best if it’s really cold.

Do you let the watermelon slices marinate for a certain amount of time?
