Description

This is a very simple recipe for a light lunch or a quick snack. Also a nice change for those of use who like to put chips on our sandwiches.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Sharp Cheddar Cheese Spread
  • 1 slice Large White, Wheat (or Other Great Flavor) Wrap
  • 3 slices Deli Ham (thin Sliced)
  • ¼ cups Coleslaw
  • ¼ cups Potato Sticks

Preparation

Start by spreading the cheese spread across the bottom half of the wrap. Next, lay the ham on the bottom quarter of the wrap and the coleslaw beside that. Begin rolling the wrap about halfway, lay the potato sticks, then finish rolling. Place in waxed paper and microwave for about 30 seconds before devouring.

Do you want to make it even more yummy? For this recipe I prefer Iberico ham, you might find it also as jamon iberico. I know it is expensive but the trick is to buy the foreleg called shoulder or paleta rather than the ham (backleg). Paleta or shoulder is much cheaper and for sandwiches, pittas, rolls and “hand food” a wonderful alternative.

Made these for my husband the other day for a Saturday lunch. He very much so enjoyed them! I think I went a little light on the potato sticks as the crunch/flavor wasn’t all that noticeable.

I tried one without coleslaw as I can’t stand the stuff and definitely found it lacking, so I would suggest making sure you have the moisture substituted elsewhere.

Make sure you have a napkin handy =)
