Description

When you are involved with church, you tend to host several sorts of fellowships, from baby showers, bridal teas, and the occasional housewarming. We were all tired of the everyday fruit tray and a friend of mine came up with this delicious fruit salsa.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart Fresh Strawberries, Finely Chopped
  • 3 whole Kiwis, Finely Chopped
  • 1 whole Apple, Finely Chopped
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ cups White Sugar
  • ¼ cups Lemon Juice
  • _____
  • FOR THE CINNAMON CHIPS:
  • 1 package Tortillas
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon

Preparation

Mix the strawberries, kiwis, and apples. Add in the cinnamon, sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside in the fridge.

Next step:
Cut the package of tortillas into pie-shaped pieces. Spray each piece front and back lightly with cooking spray. Pour about 1/2 cup of white sugar and about 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon into a Ziploc bag. Shake the tortillas in this bag with the mixture until covered well. Shake off excess.

Remove from the bag and bake at 350 degrees on a cookie sheet for about 8 to 10 minutes.

Let cinnamon “chips” cool and then serve with the fruity salsa. It looks pretty on your favorite serving tray.
