This candy is what you would expect from Texas: spicy. Serving suggestion: put a “slice” of candy on top of cream cheese spread on your favorite cracker.
1. Slice jalapenos in 1/4-inch slices and place in a sauce pan.
2. Add water and sugar.
3. Cook over medium heat until boiling.
4. Reduce temperature to low and simmer until the liquid has reduced, and the sugar and water have become syrup-like (approximately 15- 20 minutes).
5. Let cool and place in glass jar to hold 2 cups.
6. Store in the refrigerator.
