Description

So easy. And so much better than store-bought!

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cups Honey
  • 2 cups Granola
  • 1 cup Rice Krispies Cereal
  • ½ cups Lightly Salted Peanuts
  • ½ cups Pretzel Sticks, Broken
  • ½ cups Semi-sweet Chocolate Morsels

Preparation

In a large saucepan, heat butter, sugar and honey over medium heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer and continue to cook about 2-3 minutes (until sugar is completely dissolved).

Remove from heat. Add in granola (I use Cascadian Farms Maple Nut Granola . . . but you can use any variety, even homemade), Rice Krispies, peanuts and pretzels. Then quickly add in chocolate chips. Press into a parchment lined 13×9 pan. Refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes. Cut into bars and enjoy!

I put them in a ziploc container, push all the air out. Then I can just grab one out as I need them for snacks, lunches, etc.

This sounds so great! How do you recommend storing what isn’t eaten right away?

The whole family loves them! We didn’t exactly follow the recipe, due to needing to keep it wheat free and not having any peanuts…but YUM!

These were great! I did mix it up at tad to my own taste…pb chips instead of choc. chips and I didn’t have pretzels….but all the same – these rocked.
