Description

These chile lime chicken sliders are full of lean ground chicken with spicy, salty and zesty spices! The most perfect flavorful appetizer!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CHICKEN PATTIES:
  • 2 pounds Lean Ground Chicken
  • 2  Large Eggs
  • ½ cups Bread Crumbs
  • ½ cups Chopped Cilantro
  • ½ cups Sliced Green Onions
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 Tablespoons El Yucateco's Chile Habanero Hot Sauce
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Chile Lime Seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cumin
  • ½ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 6 slices Provolone Cheese, Cut Into Thirds (optional)
  • FOR THE AVOCADO LIME SOUR CREAM:
  • 1  Avocado
  • ¼ cups Sour Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Lime Juice
  • Pinch Of Salt
  • FOR THE SLIDERS:
  • 18  Slider Buns
  • 1 head Romaine Lettuce, Torn Into 18 Slider Sized Pieces
  • 3  Roma Tomatoes, Sliced Into 6 Slices Each
  • 1  Red Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • 18  Hors' D'oeuvre/cocktail Picks

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, mix ground chicken, eggs, bread crumbs, cilantro, green onions, garlic, hot sauce, chile lime seasoning, cumin, and pepper until well combined.

Using a spoon, scoop out a small handful of the ground chicken mixture then flatten it into a 2 1/2 inch diameter patty. Place slider patty on the lined baking sheet then repeat until all the chicken mixture is gone (this should be about 18 slider patties).

Bake for about 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through. If adding cheese, do this when there is about 2 minutes left of cooking time. While the patties are cooking, prep your toppings!

To make avocado lime sour cream, combine avocado, sour cream, freshly squeezed lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Mash all ingredients together in a small bowl until well combined (add more salt or lime juice if necessary).

Spread avocado lime sour cream on top slider bun. Top the bottom bun with the slider patty. Top that with lettuce, red onion slice, tomato slice, and finally, the top bun with the avocado lime sour cream. Secure the whole slider with an hors’ d’oeuvre/cocktail pick. Repeat with remaining sliders then serve on a pretty platter!
