Description

I’m not sure of the origin of this recipe. My aunt has made it for years for most every shower, party, gathering that we have. It’s a huge hit! I always make it without the green onions. Serve it with crackers of your choice, but Ritz Salted Rounds work great with it.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese (8 Oz. Softened)
  • ½ cups Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cups Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, Grated
  • 8 strips Bacon, cooked and crumbled

Preparation

Mix first 4 ingredients together.

Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.

Sprinkle crumbled bacon over top of dip.

Serve with cracker of your choice.

owensmom, it is addicting. Be careful! Thanks though….

Queenk – I’m not sure about the crockpot idea. It might work since basically you’re just melting cold ingredients. Let me know how it turns out.

Do you think I could make this in a crockpot?
Maybe throw everything in the pot and cook on low for 1 hour?…or could I reheat it in a crockpot? I’d like to bring it to work for a late afternoon meeting.

Thx.

So yummy! I made this last weekend just as the recipe states except for the fact that I doubled it. Everyone at the party loved it! Making it again this coming weekend for yet another event. Thanks for the recipe!
