Description

The perfect game day snack.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE BBQ SAUCE:
  • 1-½ cup Ketchup
  • 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Mustard
  • 3 Tablespoons Honey
  • 2 dashes Your Favorite Hot Sauce
  • FOR THE TURKEY BITES:
  • 1-½ pound Lean Ground Turkey Meat
  • 1 whole Egg, Beaten
  • ½ cups Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup Finely Diced White Onion
  • ½ Tablespoons Black Pepper
  • ¼ teaspoons Kosher Or Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Chopped Parsley

Preparation

Note I serve these with toothpicks so if you plan to do this have about 30 toothpicks available. Preheat oven to 400 F.

For the BBQ sauce: Add all ingredients into a small saucepan and cook on medium low for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally during cooking time. Reduce heat to low or remove from heat.

In a mixing bowl add lean ground turkey, egg, panko, onion, black pepper, salt and parsley. With clean hands mix together.

Add turkey mixture into an 8 x 8 non-stick baking dish and pack it down into an even layerl. Add half the BBQ sauce to the dish. Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes. Shut off oven, remove foil and let turkey meat rest in the oven for 5 minutes. Warm the remaining BBQ sauce in the small saucepan and place in two ramekins for dipping.

Remove dish from oven and cut meat into 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ bites. Transfer with a spatula to a serving platter with BBQ sauce and toothpicks. These bites are so good! Enjoy!
