This is an old family recipe. It’s like a giant baked clam served warm with crackers.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook onion, pepper, celery and garlic until soft. Add lemon juice, clams with juice, and hot sauce. Remove from heat and add bread crumbs. Put into a small greased casserole dish and bake at 350ºF for 20-25 minutes.
Serve warm with crackers.
