Bacon-wrapped dates are the perfect sweet and salty bite. This elegant appetizer comes together in minutes and is always a party hit! Paleo, gluten-free and dairy-free.
If desired, you will also need a toothpick for each date, and it should be soaked in a bowl of water for several minutes prior to using.
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Place 1 almond in each date (into the slit where the pit was removed). Cut each strip of bacon into 2 pieces. Wrap one piece of cut bacon around each date. Either secure with a pre-soaked toothpick or just place them seam side down on a rimmed baking tray.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until bacon is crisp. If you need to make these prior to serving, just assemble and refrigerate until ready to bake. Bake right before serving or bake and then reheat in microwave for 2 minutes.
