A tasty recipe to use up leftover bananas and apples.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. With a mixer, cream shortening.
3. Add sugar slowly to shortening.
4. Stir in apples, bananas, and oats.
5. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt.
6. Add flour mixture to shortening mixture.
7. Pour batter into a loaf pan.
8. Bake for 1 hour or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

I used raw oatmeal. I don’t know about the butter. I always use shortening.

For the oatmeal: cooked or raw? Instant or regular or ? Do you think butter would work instead of shortning?
