Super deliciously sweet goodness. Amazing warm with vanilla ice cream.
For the cake, mix the flour, baking soda, white sugar and milk together with a stand or hand mixer. Place in a large rectangular glass dish. Note: do not worry if it does not spread all over the dish, it will be fine.
For the syrup, add the brown sugar to the boiling water. Once combined add the butter and the vanilla. Pour over the batter.
Place in a 350˚ oven for about 30 minutes.

I can’t wait to try this. I have a couple of recipes for cake and syrup combinations and I love them, but both are chocolate. This looks like a caramel type syrup which I always thought would be great. Thanks for sharing.
