My friend Paula shared her family recipe 30+ years ago and my family loves these “made from scratch” cheesy potatoes!
Mix soup, cheese, and milk together in a saucepan and heat slowly. Add seasonings.
Place cooked potatoes in a large casserole dish and pour warm sauce over all. Bake at 350 degrees (F) for one hour or until sauce is thick.
We like these real cheesy so I don’t use the full 5-pound bag of potatoes. Probably closer to four pounds. The white pepper really adds great flavor so don’t substitute with black.

I’m usually not a big fan of canned cheese soup or Velveeta, but I may give this a try anyway!
