French toast made with butter cake and sprinkled with bacon. Really, what more do you need to know?
Heat a little butter in a nonstick griddle on medium.
Whisk together the milk, vanilla, salt and eggs.
Dip the slices of cake in the egg mixture, coating both sides, and put them on the griddle.
Sprinkle the bacon evenly on the side that hasn’t been cooked.
When the slices are lightly brown flip them and cook until they are browned on the other as well.
Serve with powdered sugar or maple syrup. Or whatever you like.
