A very simple recipe from a vintage cookbook (c. 1938!).
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9×12 jelly roll pan and set aside.
Mix brown sugar, flour and salt together, set aside. Combine eggs and vanilla, beat well. Add egg mixture to flour and mix until smooth. Fold in walnuts. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes. Cut into bars while still warm.

Very yummy! Based on the photo, I expected these to be more of a cookie bar, but they were indeed chewy – somewhat similar to pecan pie filling, though not quite as wet. Extremely easy to make, too!

Very tasty. I didn’t have quite enough walnuts, so I made up the difference with chocolate chips.
