Perfectly cooked french fries: crisp on the outside, soft in the middle! Made with real food ingredients.
Preheat to 450ºF. Wash potatoes and cut lengthwise into strips, ¼ to ½ inch thickness. (If desired, soak fries in ice water for 10 minutes. Then drain water and pat fries dry.)
Coat fries in healthy oil of choice and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Place cooling rack on top of baking sheet or line with parchment paper. Lay fries flat on baking sheet, making sure they do not touch each other. Bake for 30 minutes (20 minutes if you like them less crisp).
Note: One medium Russet potato yields about 35 fries (1/2-inch thick).
