A great Christmas twist to your everyday hot chocolate. Plus it smells, looks and tastes so comforting and delicious. A must-try this season!
Combine all ingredients (except whipped cream and crushed candy) in a small cooking pot over medium heat. Stir constantly until chocolate is completely melted and almost boiling. Serve piping hot, topped with whipped cream and peppermint pieces.

I agree with TitoSheindlin. It was WAY TOO SWEET. I like sweet drinks but this was ridiculous. I had to add 4 times extra milk to get it to a reasonable taste, and by then I was so grossed out, by all the taste testing, I just decided to dump the whole thing.

I made this for my family this holiday seson and nobody could drink even half because it was SOOO sweet. Even my husband, who loves white chocolate, couldn’t down a quarter of this drink.

Oh MY Gosh! This was delicious!!! I doubled the recipe and it served four (as it’s very rich) and then I was out of peppermint extract and so used peppermint oil (for candy making) and it still tasted great! Everyone asked for the recipe. I plan on making this again for my cookie exchange party later this month.
