Basically a cheesy bacon-wrapped jalapeno popper but in bread form! This tasty bite has the perfect balance of smokiness from the bacon to the heat of the jalapenos!
Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray a 9×5 inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl combine cream cheese, jalapenos, bacon and cheese. Stir to combine. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Whisk to combine. Add cream cheese mixture, oil and buttermilk and mix until just combined, but don’t over-mix.
Pour mixture into loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes or until top is browned. Remove from oven and place on a wire rack. Cool for 5 minutes before removing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
