The Melon Ball Cocktail

Description
The Melon Ball is a great summertime cocktail, and is just that much more delicious when you make the melon liqueur yourself!
Ingredients
- FOR THE COCKTAIL:
- 3 ounces, fluid Melon Liqueur (See Below)
- 5 ounces, fluid Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
- 3 Melon Balls, Formed Using Melon Baller, For Garnish
- FOR THE HOMEMADE MELON LIQUEUR:
- ¼ Cantaloupe
- ½ cups White Sugar
- 1 cup Vodka (We Used Balls Vodka)
Preparation
Add ice to a rocks glass. Add melon liqueur and orange juice and stir to combine.
Garnish with melon balls on a cocktail pick.
For the homemade melon liqueur:
Remove cantaloupe seeds and cut melon into very small pieces, about 1/2-inch cubes, removing the skin in the process. Put chopped cantaloupe in a bowl and add sugar. Stir well.
Cover bowl with a towel and leave for 2–3 hours. Strain chopped cantaloupe with a colander. Add vodka to taste.
