Inspired by the thick cocoa in Tim Allen’s “The Santa Clause” movie, this hot cocoa will satisfy even the strongest, most serious sweet tooth out there. This isn’t the watery, instant, Nestle-powder hot chocolate that I grew up drinking. It pours as thick as lava and looks like heaven in a cup. Drinking one sip of this delectable drink will bring an enveloping sweetness as rich as eating a slice of dark chocolate cake.
Combine all ingredients and cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly until all the chocolate melts. Top with marshmallows, whipped cream, or any other delicious topping you wish.

Wow, this was good. I made it exactly as stated, though I had my doubts about the amount of vanilla, however it came out incredibly decadent and wonderful!

Made it. Loved it. Actually had to add more milk because it was so rich. But that just made it last longer so we had some for the next day.

The only thing keeping me from making this recipe this very second is I don’t have any half&half. It’s on my grocery list now. Thanks.
