Description

This makes a large batch. It’s nice to have in your freezer to pull out when company is coming over or for a gathering, when you don’t have much time on your hands.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter Or Maragarine, Softened To Room Temperature
  • 16 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened To Room Temperature
  • 2 Tablespoons Minced Onion
  • 10 ounces, weight Block Of Cracker Barrel Sharp Cheese

Preparation

In a large bowl mix together margarine and cream cheese. Add the onion. Grate the Cracker Barrel cheese into the mixture and mix well. Shape into desired size balls and serve with crackers.

Note: This makes a large batch. I often make 2-3 cheese balls out of this. Then I tightly wrap the extras in plastic wrap and freeze for later use. Thaw overnight in the fridge before serving the cheese ball.
