Description

A simple hot dip recipe you can change up and modify according to your heart’s desire. Add mushrooms, leave out the olives, add shrimp or crab, omit the artichokes. It’s impossible to mess up. Promise!

Ingredients

  • 1 can Artichoke Hearts (14 Oz. Can)
  • 10 whole Black Olives
  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese (1 Pack)
  • 1 cup (Real) Mayonnaise
  • 1 whole Egg
  • ¼ cups Red Onion, Diced
  • ¼ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 3 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt And Pepper, To Taste
  • Cayenne Pepper (for Spice)

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse 5 to 8 times until mixture is combined but not totally liquefied. Stir and check seasonings, then pour into a small casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

Serve with Stacy’s Simply Naked chips.

Delicious!

Would this work in a slow cooker as well?

I made this last night for an American Idol gathering and it was a huge hit with everyone. Very easy to make as well.

I made this as one of our Thanksgiving appetizers and it was quite a hit!! I did make a few adjustments (aka I forgot a couple ingredients!), we skipped the egg and Worcestershire, added a few extra olives, used low fat mayo and added 3 large cloves of garlic. Our onion was very potent so the garlic and extra olives managed to tame the onion taste a bit. Overall a great dish and we will be making this again for sure!

I made this exactly like the recipe and was a bit disappointed. Too much onion for my personal preference. Next time I think I’ll try it with minced onions instead of using red onion.
Overall, a good recipe.

I made this for a baby shower I hosted and it was gone so fast. Lots of people asked for the recipe! I made no modifications and served with pita chips. Very delicious!

While throwing everything into the food processor my husband looked at me and said “I think you may have forgotten to add the kitchen sink”. We had no clue how this was going to work in the end. BUT the recipe was an absolute success!! Everyone at our housewarming party absolutely LOVED this dip and it was gone by the end of the night. It’s fantastic!

Excellent dip and very easy to make. It is best with pita chips (tortilla chips are second best). Transports well, too. Have made this several times already and the recipe is requested every time – a real winner!

So yummy, and I’m getting requests for more! Only problem is that it’s an ideal little late-night snack! I served it with tortilla chips.
