Jell-O for adults, but oh-so elegant! Use a dry Sauvignon Blanc or a crisp Rose`, or even champagne! Serve with a rich dessert or a cheese course. You could add fruit to make it sangria-style! A dollop of freshly whipped cream on top is divine.
Combine sugar, salt, wine and lemon juice in a saucepan. Gently heat but do not boil.
Mix gelatin with the cold water, dissolving completely. Add gelatin mixture to heated wine mixture and stir until combined.
Pour into a pretty bowl or mold and refrigerate for several hours until firm. Serve with freshly whipped cream.
