My second favorite thing after a donut is of course the donut hole. The perfect, one mouthful bite of deliciousness! This recipe is a basic recipe that you could easily add any flavoring to.
Preheat oven to 350 F or preheat your donut hole maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Combine the 1/2 cup sugar and the cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Set aside.
In a large bowl cream together the 3/4 cup sugar, butter and egg. Mix in the milk until the mixture is well blended. Add the flour and baking powder and mix to combine.
Spray your donut hole pan(s) or donut hole maker with cooking spray (recipe makes roughly 36 donut holes). Spoon batter into the donut hole mold (approximately 2 tablespoons of batter for each).
Bake at 350 F for 12 minutes. Then remove the pan from the oven and while donut holes are still warm roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture.
