December is a month of parties and gatherings, so Tammie and I decided that appetizers would be our focus this month for recipes. This favorite of mine is part appetizer and part shot drink. It just depends if you swirl it around, drink the juice then eat the oyster, or if you knock it all back in one swig. I prefer the former.
1. Steam fresh oysters (or purchase jarred).
2. Cut each oyster in half.
3. Place an oyster in a shot glass.
4. Add ½ ounce of tomato juice and 1 teaspoon of cocktail sauce.
5. Top with ½ ounce vodka.
6. Season as desired with Worcestershire sauce, squeeze of lemon or pepper.
