This is a simple to make homemade chocolate syrup! Never buy the overpriced store bought stuff again!
In a small saucepan, add sugar, cocoa powder and salt. Whisk together gently. Add water. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally. Once it hits a boil reduce heat and simmer it for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool. Store in the refrigerator.
For chocolate milk, add 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup to 8 ounces of milk. Drink it cold or heat it up in the microwave if you want hot chocolate.

This sounds so good! To save money, I make my mom her own mocha everyday and she loves A LOT of chocolate syrup in hers, so to make this would be an even better flavor for her coffee!

good question Liz. I would say a month….I know my kids will go through it faster. My kids said that it was way more chocolatey than the store bought stuff we just had. Enjoy…it is really good!
