A MUST in my family for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Riots errupt if it isn’t on the table.
The night before you want to serve the dish, chop the bag of cranberries and then mix the cup of sugar in with them. Put in the fridge overnight.
On the day of serving, whip the whipping cream until you get firm peaks. Mix whipped cream into cranberry/sugar mixture and serve!

Mine is also very similar only we squeeze the juice from the cranberries in the morning. And mix with red grapes halved and chopped nuts. yummmy

My favorite cranberry salad is close but adds crushed pineapple, mini-mallows….mmmmm GOOD!
