It smells amazing and tastes just as wonderful. The bread looks almost like it is wheat bread, but it is the maple syrup and brown sugar that give it the nice light brown color. It is great as toast or even French toast.
Add ingredients to bread machine pan in the order suggested by manufacturer. Recommended cycle: basic/white bread cycle; light color setting.
OR
Using the dough setting, shape and then let dough rise until doubled. Time will depend on the warmth of your kitchen, about 33 to 45 minutes. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 350 F.
Notes:
I have used powdered milk and fat-free half-and-half when I didn’t have milk on hand, and it tasted just as good.
I have also used sugar-free maple syrup and it still tasted good, but didn’t have as strong of a maple flavor.
Serving size varies depending on how thick you slice it.
I am sure this recipe could be made just as is by hand if you don’t have a bread machine.
(In the photo, I used my french bread loaf pans because I was going to use the bread to make French toast.)

I’d like to make this bread but I use the SAF instant yeast. Does anyone have any idea how much SAF I would use vs. the bread machine yeast??? Thanks
