Description

Cheesy orzo pasta, simple and delicous.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces, fluid Chicken Or Vegetable Broth
  • 1 cup Orzo Pasta
  • ½ cups Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • ¼ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • ⅛ teaspoons Salt To Taste
  • ⅛ teaspoons Fresh Black Pepper To Taste

Preparation

Add broth to a medium size pan and bring to a boil. Add pasta. Cover pot and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until liquid is absorbed and pasta is tender. Watch the pasta during the last few minutes. If too much liquid has evaporated, you can add a few tablespoons more of broth. When pasta is done remove the lid and stir in the cheeses. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Tip: For added flavor, you can stir your favorite fresh herbs into the orzo while simmering.

Very quick and easy. And delicious. Could add some variety with different cheeses and shrimp or chicken.
