Description

A traditional Sangria that hits the spot. I dare you to just have one glass!

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Oranges, Sliced Thin
  • 2 whole Apples, Sliced Thin
  • 3 cups Brandy, Divided
  • 1 bottle (750ml Size) Shiraz
  • ⅓ cups Triple Sec
  • 3 cups Orange Juice
  • ½ cups Lemon Juice
  • ¼ cups Sugar
  • Ice
  • 3-½ cups Club Soda

Preparation

Place sliced fruit in 1 cup brandy and let soak for 8 to 12 hours in refrigerator. Chill all other ingredients (it’s not essential to chill triple sec).

In a large punch bowl, combine wine, remaining 2 cups brandy and triple sec. In a separate bowl, stir together orange juice, lemon juice and sugar until sugar dissolves. Then add orange/lemon juice mixture to the punch bowl. Add ice, top with club soda and garnish with orange and apple slices.

I made this last weekend for Cinco de Mayo. It was excellent! Since then I have had people calling for the recipe. The only thing I did different was to leave out the Brandy and Club Soda since I didn’t have any. I added a little extra Triple Sec. Will definitely make again.

Made this yesterday in my huge ass pitcher and still couldn’t fit all the club soda in it. I took it to the nail salon for a bachelorette party and we drank it while our feet were getting shaved down. Great recipe. Loved by all!
