A decadent fall pumpkin loaf. Toast a slice, slather with butter and dust with powdered sugar. The perfect breakfast on an autumn morning!
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans or 1 loaf pan and a muffin tin.
Blend sugar, applesauce and eggs. Add pumpkin.
On low speed, add dry ingredients until combined. Do not overmix. Stir in chocolate chips.
Bake 35-45 minutes (muffins 15-20 minutes) until center is just done. Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar.
