I have recently become obsessed with blackberries. Blackberry pie, blackberry cobbler and of course a great late summer drink a blackberry margarita.
To make the simple syrup: Combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar and 6 ounces blackberries in a sauce pan and heat on medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Blend until smooth. Then remove it from the heat and cool.
Combine all of the margarita ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into a glass rimmed in sugar. Use a blackberry for garnish and enjoy!
