Description

So moist and flavorful you won’t be able to tell it is made without butter!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2  Eggs
  • 4  Bananas
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 3 Tablespoons Milk
  • ½ teaspoons Vanilla
  • (optional) Nuts (walnuts, Pecans, Or Almonds Work Best!)
  • (optional) Nutmeg And Cinnamon To Sprinkle On Top

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Beat the oil and brown sugar until smooth with no lumps. Add the eggs and bananas. Beat well; there will be some lumps. Add flour, baking soda, salt, milk, and vanilla. Beat until combined, batter will be thin. Stir in nuts if desired. Pour into a greased loaf pan and sprinkle the top with nutmeg and cinnamon.

Cook time depends on your oven but is usually around 55 minutes. Bread is done when an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let cool and enjoy!

I used this recipe to put my overripe bunch of bananas to good use. Very yummy, and I had all the ingredients in my pantry! I will be making this again for sure.

I have tried lots of banana bread recipes. I really liked this one. Nice and moist, but not oily.

Very yummy. This receipe stood up to the challenge next to a loaf of banana bread that had lots of butter in it (I had way too many overripe bananas so I tested a couple different recipes). Frankly, I liked this recipe better. Thanks for sharing!
