An icy treat of sweet strawberries and wine to help you cool off on these hot summer days!
Pour the wine into a heavy-bottomed pot. Heat the wine over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the wine reduces by half. This took about 10-15 minutes. Cool the reduced wine in the refrigerator.
In a food processor, purée the strawberries and lemon juice. Mix in the chilled reduced wine and the sugar and stir well. Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch glass baking dish and put it in the freezer. Stir the mixture every 45 minutes with a fork or whisk to break up the ice. Continue this for about 4 hours.
