You can use fresh or bottled peaches in this recipe, but fresh is best. This is a delightful Indian summer treat.
Juice the lemons. Add lemon juice to peaches, ginger ale, orange juice, sugar and evaporated milk. Stir well and refrigerate for 1 hour. Remove mix from the fridge and stir in cream and milk. Pour into a 6-quart ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s freezing instructions.

To give this a more robust flavor use fresh peaches and grill them. Cut the peaches in half and remove the pit but leave the skins on. Soak for at least 5 minutes in a solution of 4 parts milk, 1 part sugar, 1 part vanilla, and a pinch of cinnamon. Place them skin side down on a hot grill and cook until you get a nice light char, turn over and grill for about another minute. Remove them from heat and peel skin, mash flesh and add to the recipe.
