I changed my 4th of July Trifle to make this delicious recipe. This is a fairly rich dessert, but you’ll be surprised how much you can eat! Make this the next time you have company!
For the brownies: Bake brownies according to box, or use your favorite homemade recipe. I went with Hersheys Brownies and baked a 9 x 9 pan – this amount was perfect! Make sure they are completely cooled, but not dried out!
For the filling: Mix vanilla pudding according to box, but use sweetened condensed milk for part of the milk it calls for. Then, use regular milk for the rest of what the box calls for. Mix according to package instructions, or until rather thick. Then, fold in the thawed Cool Whip.
Rinse the berries, and allow them to dry.
Get out a trifle bowl, or something that looks pretty (you could get away with a 13×9). Layer everything 3 or so times. I started with ¼ of the pudding mixture, then strawberries, pudding mixture, crumbled brownies, pudding mixture and so on. You can do this part however you’d like!
Finally, whip the cream until firm peaks form then add the sugar and mix about 10 more seconds. Add this to the top of the trifle. Lastly, I added some chocolate shavings, but you can add more fruit to make it pretty! Enjoy! This is super delicious!
