Simple to prepare, delicious to eat, always a crowd pleaser.
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
1. Prepare the crust: In a medium-sized bowl, combine flour, sugar, ground almonds, and salt. Cut in butter with a pastry cutter until resembles coarse meal. Press firmly into the bottom of an ungreased 9×13 baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
2. Cream cheese filling: In a bowl, cream together softened cream cheese, sugar and heavy whipping cream on medium speed, until smooth and creamy. Should be thick but spreadable.
3. Chocolate filling: In a medium bowl, combine pudding mix and milk. Beat on low until pudding is thickened, about 3 minutes.
4. Whipped topping: Beat heavy whipping cream, sugar and vanilla until peaks form. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Assembly: When crust has cooled, spread cream cheese filling evenly over crust, then evenly spread chocolate pudding on top of that, then finish it off with the layer of whipped topping. Refrigerate for 2–24 hours before cutting into squares. Garnish with slivered almonds.
Enjoy!
