Description

This bread is great for a sweet breakfast or light dessert. This is my favorite sweet bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Boiling Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • ½ cups Molasses
  • ½ cups Oil
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt

Preparation

Mix all ingredients in one bowl until well combined.

Pour mixture into a greased 9 by 5 inch loaf pan.

Bake at 350F for about one hour.

To store the loaf, leave it in the pan you baked it in and cover it with foil.

Just made this tonight and it was super easy to whip up! It turned out great and tastes delicious! I did add two teaspoons of Saigon cinnamon to the batter. I’ll definitely be making this again!

So simple, incredibly moist and lightly sweet! I added a little nutmeg, some cinnamon, and a dash of ginger. This is such a great wintery snack when you don’t want to run to the grocery for ingredients.
