This is always popular at get-togethers. I like to make these up at Christmas and give to family and friends with a nice box of crackers. If someone unexpected drops by, they have a nice snack to serve with drinks. Kids like it too.
Put cheeses in mixing bowl, allow to slightly soften at room temperature. Add minced onion and Worcestershire sauce, mix on medium speed until well blended.
Scrape bowl, cover with plastic wrap and chill until firm.
Once well chilled, form into ball. You can do this bare handed or I leave the plastic wrap over it until I shape it. That way my hands stay clean.
Roll in finely chopped pecans, peanuts, or parsley. Leave in refrigerator until just before serving.
Serve with crackers.
* You can use medium or mild cheddar cheese, whichever you prefer.

We tried this for Christmas this year and really enjoyed it. We thought it tasted best a day or two after making it as the flavors blended together. We also used Sharp Cheddar cheese. We like more kick from our cheese.
