Description

This spin on green beans is fast, easy, and always delish!

Ingredients

  • 8 slices Bacon
  • 1 whole Medium Onion
  • 2 cans (14.5 Oz. Can) Green Beans
  • 1 can (4 Oz. Can) Mushrooms
  • 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) Tomato Soup

Preparation

Cut raw bacon into bite-sized pieces; chop onion. In a medium sauce-pan, brown bacon and onion over medium heat. Once browned, add 2 cans green beans (one drained), one 4 oz. can mushrooms (drained), and one can of tomato soup. Bring ingredients to a boil, and keep warm to serve.

These are great made ahead and reheated in a crock pot. Enjoy!

These are excellent and really easy to fix! They are definitely a southern-style recipe.

I made this because I had everything on hand, and was REALLY surprised that my husband and kids ate it! They’re not really fond of stuff like this, but the combination somehow turned out perfect! I’ve made it several times since then. Love how it can be reheated. Only note is that I think it’s yummier with fresh mushrooms (cooked with the bacon).

This is one of our family’s favorite recipes! It’s super simple, and tastes even better when reheated. It’s easy to double (or triple) the recipe for potlucks or larger gatherings.
