Description

If you don’t like spinach, you must try it this way. How can you not like it with cream cheese and bacon!

Ingredients

  • 18 ounces, weight Frozen Spinach
  • 8 slices Bacon
  • 6 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened To Room Temperature
  • ¾ sticks Butter, Softened To Room Temperature
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced

Preparation

Cook spinach according to package directions; drain well, making sure you get all the water out by pressing the spinach against the sides of the colander.

While the spinach is cooking, fry the bacon in a frypan; you want them crispy. Drain on paper towels. Cut into small pieces or crumbs.

In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and the butter. Add salt and garlic. Add the spinach to the cream cheese mixture.

Pour into a buttered 2-qt casserole dish. Sprinkle bacon crumbs on top. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes.
