Description

Stinky, maybe. Delicious, definitely. Ignore your inner child screaming “Nooo!” and give these little cuties a chance!

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Brussels Sprouts, Ends Cut Off, Halved
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper (optional)
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 3 ounces, weight Prosciutto, Bacon, Or Pancetta, Cut Into Bits And Pan-fried Until Crisp

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 425ºF.

Scatter Brussels sprouts, salt, red pepper (if using), brown sugar, and olive oil in a roasting pan or rimmed baking sheet. Roast sprouts for 20-30 minutes, shaking once, until sprouts are brown on edges and cooked through.

Transfer to a serving dish. Drizzle with the balsamic and sprinkle the crispy prosciutto over the Brussels sprouts.
