Description

Simple, delicious and a healthier alternative to regular french fries.

Ingredients

  • 3 whole Sweet Potatoes
  • ¼ cups Olive Oil
  • 4 dashes Garlic Powder
  • 4 dashes Seasoned Salt

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Peel sweet potatoes.
3. Cut sweet potatoes into thick sticks, like fries.
4. Lay out the pieces on an oven sheet.
5. Brush them lightly with oil on all sides.
6. Sprinkle with garlic powder and seasoned salt, to taste.
7. Bake for about 15 minutes, until they turn a little more golden (don’t worry if they burn a bit at the edge, it makes them even sweeter!).

I dip these into the Oriental Honey Mustard that is in my “Pecan Crusted Chicken with Oriental Honey Mustard” recipe and it is heavenly!

I made these tonight and they were a hit with my hubby and 15 month old! I sprinkled them with garlic salt and a little bit of nutmeg. The high temp made the fries crispy.. I turned them over half way through the 15 mintues. Thanks for posting!

Wow – these were wonderful. I added some chili powder and garlic pepper to the seasoning mix. I’m not a huge sweet potato fan but will make these again and again. You are right – they were very good dipped in the honey mustard sauce from your Pecan Crusted Chicken recipe. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful meal – we really enjoyed it!

These were really good! Mine weren’t completely crispy, but I loved the different textures. The mix of garlic powder and Lawry’s Seasoned Salt was a great compliment to the sweet potatoes. I didn’t think my husband would be into these, but the thought they were great! I will definitely make these again…soon! Thanks!
